The birth of your child is one of the most blessed moments of your life. The better prepared you and your family are, the more enjoyable and rewarding the experience becomes.

The Prepared Childbirth class at Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake will introduce you to what to expect with the birth of your child. Taught by a labor and delivery nurse, this class will help you prepare for childbirth, your hospital stay, and caring for your newborn. We will discuss labor, pain control options, breastfeeding, common discomforts during pregnancy, complications to watch for, and what to expect and how to care for your newborn during the first two weeks home.

The class is held the third Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the right atrium of the cafeteria. Refreshments and lunch is provided. The class concludes with a tour of the hospital and labor and delivery unit.
